BTR 60 and Infantry
I had pen pals in Australia, Greece, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and the Soviet Union.
Most were in Czechoslovakia. I had three at one time.
Typically it would take two or three weeks for mail to go each way.
They would send me a list of what they wanted, mostly 1/72nd aircraft and 1/35th scale tanks.

Eastern Europen Vehicles in HO Scale
Tanks are T54 by Roco Minitanks in HO scale.
BTR-60 were made in Eastern Europe during the Cold War era.
I had pen pals, in the days before the Internet we would write actual letters to one another and snail mail them back and forth.
They sent me Eastern European kits and I would send them mostly Tamiya kits.
It worked out well for both of us. Never lost a package in either direction.
