My friend COL Jim and I visited Larry of Pegasus Models today. He showed us some of his new items, that are almost ready to be released and a few Caesar Miniatures items that are new also.
The new Pegasus items include two 1 to 1 scale items for the movie Galaxy Quest. One is a space gun and the other is a communicator type item. They are simple kits and look very interesting. They are also doing a model of the space ship from Galaxy Quest. The model is about a foot long. They should all be in stores soon.
There was also a new WWII tank in 1/72nd scale. It is a Czech 38 as used by the Germans in WWII. It is a simple fast build kit that has the road wheels and track halves as one piece. I suspect, but don't know, that these will be two per set, as is typical for Pegasus.
The new Caesar Miniatures 1/72nd scale figures included their new Greek Hoplites, Ancient Persians, WWII US Army set 1, WWII German Panzergrenadiers, set 2, and WWII German Paratroopers. Since I don't do ancients, you are on your own with those, but I will have reviews of all the others over the next few days.
Larry also gave me a Pegasus Figures update and I will share more of that later.

AAA NSKK
Fuel and Food
In my ruleset, a tracked vehicle that has a track broken can have the track repaired by the crew in only four turns. The vehicle can be fixed in only if there is an ARV or special repair crew alongside the vehicle that can assist them. This provides a reason for players to include these specialized vehicles in there collection.
Wargame rules should provide players a reason to behave like real generals and real armies. They way to do that is to reward those players who include units and equipment in their armies that real armies have in them. Units that have mess units will allow soldiers to eat, and in my rules that means they can move. Units that don't eat, stop moving. Vehicles that have fuel supplies can move. So having trucks with fuel or fuel dumps are important to keep your units moving.
I require units to stop at least one turn every 24 hours to resupply. They need fuel, food, and ammunition to keep moving and shooting. Failure to get these supplies means units are stationary and can't shoot until they do get them. A good reason to have plenty of supply trucks and supply wagons in your armies.

NSKK Conversions

This Opel Blitz cargo is for one of my NSKK trucks. It includes tracks for an Panther and a smaller tank. It has a large truck tire, tools, fuel, and towing cables and two jacks.

Bachman made US 1950's people including this police officer. The dark figure is from Prieser. I wanted to make some NSKK figures directing traffic and so I am using this US policeman as a starting place.
