Rifle Grenade GI Joe

Each of my GI Joe US Army WWII squads also gets one grenadier.

I have two Dragon Models M1 rifles with grenade launcher.

Despite looking for another one for years I have been unable to locate one.

It's a very cool toy, it has a choice of hand grenade, 60mm mortar shell or the grenade launcher specific grenade.

It includes the sighting device.  Some units seem to have used them frequently and other units did not seem to use them at all.

It looks pretty good on the end of that M1 rifle.  I remember the climax of the science fiction movie Them! where the soldiers were fighting giant ants in the storm drains of Los Angeles.  Several of them were launching rifle grenades in the direct fire mode.  A weapon you don't see too often in movies.
