MPC Metallic Blue Figures

MPC weasel and ring hand figures.
60mm figures in the snow.
I am not sure who made the machine gun but it's very cool.
New production Tim Mee 2 1/2 ton trucks with MPC soldiers.
Tim Mee Jeeps in the snow with MPC figures.
When I get snow, I always like to take my 60mm figures out and play in the snow.  Growing up in Southern California I did not get to play in snow until I moved to Kentucky after I retired. It only snows a few days a year so I have to act fast.  This year it snowed rather a lot and so I had a little more time to do a set up.
These tall, thin 60mm figures were made by MPC decades ago.  I have these metallic blue ones, also green figures that are also 50 - 60 years old; and a 100 or so recast light green ones too.

  1. The Jeeps and Weasels seems to be more correct size for these figures than for 'regular' 54mms.

  2. Yes, the original MPC and Tim Mee figures were more in the 60mm range than 54mm. MPC used to make rather larger toys than Marx and Tim Mee often did.

  3. I had a bunch of them when I was a kid. It was wish for Marx, usually got a Marx set Christmas, then MPC for birthdays. I remember the blue guys (both their 45mm and larger 60mm being Marines, I got some with a battleship I wish I still had. Of course green was Army, and I got an Air Force/missile base that had the 45mm guys in silver for Air Force. It worked for me when I was 7 years old.

    1. Yes, I had some as a kid and just kept buying a few here and there. Ebay and hobby shows were good places to find them. Thanks for sharing Wayne. Scale was less important when we were 7!
