Soviet Tanks Early War
In the early war period when the Germans invaded the Soviet Union...
The Soviets had the largest army....
And the most tanks of any army.
They also had vast numbers of artillery pieces.
But they still relied on the horse for much of their transport.
You can never have too many T-26s or BTs in your early war army. Their gun was better than the German one but their armor could be penetrated by even the PAK 36. It definitely is a different army than the middle or late war army with all of its medium and heavy armor.

ReplyDeleteYou are totally correct. I have several BT7 tanks in the collection. Painting some of them now.
