Airfix British Paratroopers

I got a couple boxes of these guys the other day.

I am using them for conversions to other stuff.

They were rust color.  When did that seem like a good idea?

They will end up as American Football players, Royal Navy, Danish Army 1950s, and henchmen for SPECTRE and THRUSH.

But probably none of them will be British WWII Paratroopers.
 

Batcopter Loses it's Blade

To rivets bored out and this thing is all to pieces.

It is a sturdy kit but easy to take apart.

The blades and fuel tanks are held in place by a pin.  Just pull it out and off it comes.

Very weird looking without the blades!

Landing skid, the little step looks like a seat.
 

Batcopter Remodel

Hot Wheels classic Batman movie and TV series Batcopter.

It's a great model.

And its almost exactly HO scale according to my measurements.  Show here with 1/72nd scale figures.

This is a combined drill and countersink.

I use it to drill out the rivets.

And then the helicopter falls apart.

And you can remove the Bat Wings.
 

Flak Tower Hospital

For about 25 years I have been working on the Battle of Berlin.

The Zoo Flak Tower contained a hospital. 

What is a hospital without operating rooms?

I have been using resin bits, left over sprue, HeroClix parts, wirescreen, Roco Mintanks wheels, sheet styrene and all kind of other things to create the hospital.

Caesar Miniatures figure in 1/72nd scale for size.  Obviously he is post war.
