I got a free sample for writing a review for this product. As you might guess, it's paint. It comes in a great package. Each color nicely labelled and stuffed into a little pocket. The package is so good, I kept them in it, rather than use my normal system of paint storage. These are mostly fantasy, wargame, role playing colors. They are easy to get out of the package and go back in easily too. I like the paint and will have some examples of what I painted with them soon.
Those do look good indeed. Are they available now or a demo of an upcoming set?
ReplyDeleteI think they are new, but I got them on Amazon.
DeleteI'm looking forward to read about your experience with these. Are they good value for money?
ReplyDeleteThe cost seems good for what you get, about the same cost per bottle as Vallejo. I needed a mixture of more "civilian" colors because I am painting more civilian figures, more houses and other civilian buildings, and private automobiles. Most of my paint collection is military colors.
Delete1) What are you going to use to prime ahead of using these paints?
ReplyDelete2) And what color(s) of primer will it be?
3) Have you ever done “zenithal” (or is that “xenithal”) priming with 2 colors done from 2 directions, and what results did you get?
NOTE: Also, make sure to use airbrush thinner to mix into paints. Do not apply straight out of the bottle without thinning. It is always best to apply 2+ coats than a single one.
Thanks for commenting, Dan. I don't always prime, depends on what I am painting, what material it is made out of, what paint I am using, and how different the paint is from the original. Typically I use Rust-Oleum 2X spray primer in gray or white. I also use Tamiya spray primer in white if the subject is highly detailed or if I want a better finish, like on a glossy automobile. Never heard of zenithal priming so I looked it up. That's way beyond my skill level of painting. I am more like the guy who paints Christmas scenes on gasoline station windows in poster paints. While I have an airbrush, and compressor, I seldom use it except on aircraft or on camouflaged tanks. https://thearmypainter.com/blogs/explore/zenithal-priming?srsltid=AfmBOoraNSNkhoFUtoroOILxLbC6_GFlQ4hF3UQm3s98SSfd8-uaBOYJ
