Canadians Attack!
D-Day Canadians by BMC from the Juno Beach set in 54mm. The prone figure. He seems like he is looking around the corner rather than actually shooting.
Bren gunner. You get three of each Canadian soldier, enough for a short platoon of three squads.
Each squad in the British Army got one guy with a shovel and one guy with a pickax. This is the shovel guy but it looks more like a large soup spoon.
The pick guy. Good tools when you have to dig in. Too guys have a rifle.
Charging rifleman. They are billed as Canadian, but they would work for Free French, Free Polish, Canadian, Australian, New Zelanders, or anyone else from the British Empire, as their uniforms and equipment and organization were very similar.
Crouching man, on the alert!
These guys make up a nice force and would do well against 1/3rd of their number of Germans.
A pretty good set, I think.
The commands have a Thompson and so provide a bit more automatic weapons support.
Mike:
ReplyDeleteThose are a nice find. Pretty good details, and great to see one fellow w/ a Thompson. (no one got a STEN?).
Carry on.
Can't have everything.
